Descrio:

The existence of diverse independent systems in modern cars, combined with the necessity of centralizing the user interface, in order to simplify the operation of the system and minimize the user\'s intervention, promotes the comfort and reduces the likelihood of distractions taking place while driving.
The aim is to develop a framework for the development of network distributed applications, in the field of infotainment, which guarantees the coexistence of packet, control and time-sensitive (i.e. multimedia data) data and compliance with time requirements, so as to assure a reliable QoS (Quality of Service), where an only physical transmission mean. The employment of technologies like FPGA, in the offloading of computation for this device, is a mean of ensuring the fulfilment of the requirements and promote the re-usage of this kind of systems, while keeping not only a high level of performance on data trading, but also portability and modularity.

Objectivos:

1. Develop a BUS-driver typology to meet modern media application requirements;
2. Develop Network services to coordinate the communication of the various devices connected to the network;
3. Develop a framework and a distributed multimedia application;
