Description:

IoT devices are expanding to be more and more present in people's lives since they are being applied to every possible area like video streaming. This work emerges from the requirement for a video core to support the new video Ultra High Definition (UHD 8k) resolution, called the next big feature by the year of 2020, as well as for IOT ending because of the trend of connecting every device to the Internet. A software stack aims for preventing DoS attacks and will be running in a Linux built with a monitor getting advantage of the ARM TrustZone technology.

Objectives:

* Study the video-core predefined architecture;

* Familiarization with the technologies needed for video;

* Design and implementation of some essential Hardware modules;

* Design and implementation of a reconfigurable Hardware;

* Design and implementation of a Software stack to prevent DoS attacks;

* Accomplish 8k video resolution at 60 frames per second;

* Writing and production of the dissertation.

Keywords:
8k video resolution, Hardware, FPGA, Software Stack, Security, IoT.
